Your individual savings could be much greater. What methods are used to effectively lower property taxes? We are experts in finding reductions and negotiating with assessors. We insure that you receive every benefit that the tax codes permit. In fact, many of these methods are not common knowledge. How is CTMI compensated for its services? We offer the flexibility of both contingency and flat fee agreements. What is my time investment?Your time investment is minimal. We will execute 95 percent of the work. In most cases the greatest amount of time needed is from your facilities or plant engineer to escort one of our tax consultants through a tour of your facilities. Who will be responsible for the preparation and filing of tax returns? In most situations our clients elect that we prepare and file their returns. This is included within our general service agreement with no additional charge. We will also meet with assessors and appear at hearings on your behalf. How do you compute tax savings? We will compare your previous method of filing to our new method of filing to calculate the tax savings. We will not include any normal operational adjustments that would have lowered your tax bill as part of tax savings. By agreement, any tax savings we claim will be subject to your approval. What happens if I am audited? We will be there to represent you. Not only do we have the moral and professional obligation to do so, we have a financial interest as well. We stand behind our work 100%. Can I contact CTMI if I have any questions after your work is completed? Please contact CTMI anytime you have questions with our prior work product. We will offer our assistance over the phone and get you an answer to any tax question in a timely manner. Will you file appeals and appear in front of Assessment Appeals Board? In most cases CTMI is successful in negotiating with taxing authorities informally. However, should a formal appeal be necessary; CTMI will prepare any required applications. Additionally, we will represent you before any Assessment Appeals Board.
Testimonials
Tesoro Petroleum Companies, Inc.“We first engaged CTMI’s team in 2005 to defend our Texas Sales Tax audit after utilizing our in-house resources. They successfully represented our interests and won in District Court hearings. Since then, we have used their team to recover other funds from several state taxing offices. Their team is professional and easy to work with. “ |
